DHS conducted an English Extempore Inter House Competition.

• 3rd June 2019 – Dalhousie Hilltop School conducted an English Extempore Inter House Competition. The speakers were students from class VI to XI.
• The purpose and aim to explore the hidden talent of students beyond the books and develop their presence of mind. This event helped the students to overcome their stage fear and to develop their confidence and speaking ability.
• The speakers were from classes VI to XI. The topics in the competition were of varied subjects such as current issues, spoken English, Science and Social media, Information technology etc. Each participant got minute to think about their topic. All the participants got two additional minutes to speak on their topic. The speakers were judged on the basis of the content, relevance, confidence & clarity of speech.
• The audience enjoyed the event and were fully involved with the participant who did an outstanding job. The participants showed incredible presence, knowledge about many topics and an impressive level of confidence during speeches.
• At the end President Mrs. Poonam Rai Dhawan appreciated and applauded the performance of the participants and motivated them to work harder and do even better next time. She said, “This reflects the creativity. I wish them the best of luck and hope they continue to polish their skills in future”.
